1:1 Planning Meetings
All students in Year 10 and 11, and those in the Lower Sixth, will be invited to attend a 1:1 meeting with a professional, fully qualified Careers Advisor. This is a fantastic opportunity for students to discuss anything related to future choices and to receive tailored and impartial guidance.
To find out what happens at these meetings, watch this video.
The meetings are scheduled and take place every week throughout the year. Students who need an urgent appointment can email a request to the Careers Team.
Students do not need to wait for their scheduled 1:1 meeting before applying for college, university or an apprenticeship. Support is on offer with Mrs Murchie, Mrs MacRitchie and Mr Chisham.
Students can apply to more than one course, and more than one college or university. We encourage all students to have a Plan A and Plan B - this is especially important for students looking for an apprenticeship.
Bay House Sixth Form
1:1 personal guidance meetings are now available for students in the Sixth Form.
Not sure about going to uni? Unclear on career choices or next steps? We encourage all students in the Sixth Form to meet with one of our Careers Advisors, at least once. Email careers@gfmat.org to arrange a meeting.
