Virtual Work Experience

Coming up over the Easter break, Speakers for Schools are offering some fantastic opportunities for students aged 14 to 19 to complete virtual work experience with companies in a vast range of industries and companies, from BP to Tesco. Many of the companies will be taking part in the Green Skills Week, highlighting careers linked to sustainability. We would encourage all students to take a look at what is available - remember, you will be able to put this on your CV / personal statement, so it could be worth its weight in gold for your future success. We've collated a selection of opportunities for you below (click 'open in new tab' to view the whole table).

You will need to register on the Speakers for Schools site to apply and then search on the Opportunities tab to find the VWEX you are interested in. You will be asked to complete an application for a placement and not everyone will be successful, so it's really important to put some thought into your answers to the questions. Watch out for the closing dates - some are 6th March so you'll need to move fast! Most are 3-5 days, with work expected from 10.00 to 3.00 (although some are just one day) so this is a genuine opportunity that requires (and demonstrates) a commitment. You will be working in groups with others.

Please register on this link to get into the site, using your school email address:

If you are successful we will need to gain permission from your parents / guardians for us to share your data with Speakers for Schools before your place can be finalised.

Good luck!
